In a statement, the Palacio de Hacienda explained that “the plan consists of disbursing 540 million dollars for the construction of the La Carlota – Tío Pujio gas pipelinethe Reversal del Norte and the compression plants”.
The works program will increase the supply of gas to the north of the country through Vaca Muerta, and will increase the possibilities of gas export volumes to Chile and Brazil.
“We have closed together with the CAF, the Gas Works Plan that will be approved in March and it will be US$540 million to build the La Carlota-Tío Pujio gas pipeline, the Reversal del Norte and the compression plants,” said Massa.
In addition to Minister Massa, the director of INDEC, Marco Lavagna and Leonardo Madcur representing the Ministry of Economy participated in the meeting; the Secretary of Energy, Flavia Royon; the president of Enarsa, Agustín Gerez; the undersecretary of International Financial Relations for Development, Leandro Gorgal; and the National Director of Strategic Prioritization of External Financing, Mauro Conti.
Present for the Development Bank of Latin America (CAF) were CAF’s Vice President, Christian Asinelli; the representative of CAF, Patricia Alborta; and Jorge Srur, CAF’s Southern Regional Manager.
A few days ago, President Alberto Fernández, along with Governor Sergio Ziliotto, toured the works on the President Néstor Kirchner Gas Pipeline in the Pampas town of Doblas, where a state-of-the-art automated welding system was launched, used for the first time in the Argentina and will allow reaching the levels of productivity necessary to comply with the project.
