In this contextthe authorities agreed to open an office of the “German Accelerator”, the main accelerator of German ventures and startups, in the metropolitan region of Buenos Aires.
“In this way, the Argentine entrepreneurial ecosystem will be able to count on the capacities and acceleration programs of an institution of the highest level, and develop better links with the German and European startup market,” said the statement from the Ministry of Economy.
According to the official text, the presence of the German Accelerator will allow Argentina to be positioned as a “regional hub” of the main German accelerator, which will allow “enhancing” the opportunities for internationalization of Argentine ventures and startups.
“Such an initiative will be carried out through accelerated incubation processes, highly personalized programs, mentoring provided by dedicated experts, as well as access to networks of business partners and investors.” explained the Ministry of Economy.
The signing of this memorandum was headed by the Argentine Secretary of Economic Programming, Gabriel Rubinstein; by the Parliamentary Secretary of State of the Federal Ministry of Economy and Climate Protection of Germany, Franziska Brantner, and by the CEO of the German Accelerator, Claus Karthe, among other authorities.
The German chancellor began his first official visit to Argentina this Saturday since he took office in December 2021, as part of a tour that will also take him to Chile and Brazil.
