In turn, it ratified “the suspension of tax execution trials for the collection of taxes owed until the period following the end of the emergency or disaster period and the suspension of seizures of Current Accounts,” agreed at the meeting on Tuesday.
“When forced sales of cattle, sheep, goats or pigs occur, 100% of the benefits derived from such sales may be deducted from the income tax balance,” the official clarified.
Government measures in the face of the agricultural emergency
The announcements made by Sergio Massa for the industry included:
- The development of a revolving fund of a system of $5 billion renewable assistance that will come through the provinces and municipalities to have instruments of direct assistance to each affected producer.
- Suspension of advance payment of income tax for those producers covered by the emergency. The AFIP will focus on producers with more than $50 million declared profit in 2022.
- Suspension of tax execution lawsuits and suspension of seizures of accounts currents of all producers affected by emergency procedures.
- In the case of the forced sale of property, that aspect will be excluded from the calculation of the Income Tax. There are 4,200 producers throughout Argentina who are going to benefit from this measure.
- a process of training and rapprochement with affected producers by the AFIP, to facilitate the initiation of these procedures.
- Financing of liabilities under the same conditions in which the credits were granted. 47% of the loans in the sector are the product of a Banco Nación policy to promote the agricultural sector. The main beneficiaries are small producers, with less than 500 hectares or less than 150 heads.
- They are going to arrange 15 more rate subsidy points to accompany the producer who has to take credit with a reduction in the interest rate.
- Homologation of emergency orders from the provincesto allow the producer to access all the benefits that are being provided
