Magenta Telekom reported on Wednesday evening about a hacker attack on a server of an Austrian sales partner. Up to 20,000 customer data are affected. The data flowed from a server and appeared on the dark web. The sales partner has filed a complaint with the police, according to a statement.

The affected data sets are currently being evaluated. According to the information, those affected would only be informed immediately after they had been viewed. When asked, it can be assumed that the sales partner concerned also has customers in Upper Austria.

According to Tarife.at, the Hofer mobile phone brands HoT, Liwest, Raiffeisen Mobil, Rapid Mobil, S-Budget and Volmobil are rented in the Magenta network.
