New World Bank Director Appointed in Argentina

Fay, is an economist and specialized in infrastructure, environment, green growth and the fight against poverty.

Fay held the position of director of the World Bank for Bolivia, Chile, Ecuador and Peru, she was also chief economist of the Vice Presidency of Sustainable Development of the World Bank for the Department of Climate Change.

Among his many publications, the World Development Report “Development and Climate Change” stands out, the regional study “Infrastructure in Latin America and the Caribbean: recent events and main challenges” and the report “Rethinking infrastructure in Latin America and the Caribbean : spend better to achieve more”.

It should be remembered that The World Bank in Argentina has a portfolio of 23 investment projects, operations with committed credits for a total of US$8.500 million dollars in the social, infrastructure, environment and economic development areas.

Likewise, it provides technical advice on the main public policy challenges in the country and develops sectoral studies.
