On Wall Street, the papers of Argentine firms closed the day with mixed results. The gains were recorded by Globant (6.7%); Take off (4.7%); Irsa (4.3%); Central Port (1.8%); and Banco Macro (1.2%). On the contrary, the decreases corresponded to Tenaris papers (-4.6%); YPF (-4.1%); Cresud (-2.4%); Edenor (-2.4%) and Banco Supervielle (-2.3%). It was a positive day in the international markets. On the New York Stock Exchange, the technology sector gave a strong boost to the Nasdaq, after better-than-expected results from Meta, the parent of Facebook, awaiting results from Alphabet, Apple and Amazon after the close.
Thus, the Nasdaq jumped 3.25% and the S&P 500 gained 1.47%, while the Dow Jones lost 0.12%.

In the fixed income segment, sovereign bonds in dollars rose to 2.2% thanks to the Global 2035, followed by the Global 2035 (+2.1%). Only Global 2046 fell (-2%).
Within this framework, the country risk fell 1.2% to 1,797 basis points. The bonds maintain an ascending path of prices at the average of January, when the Government announced the repurchase of external debt for about US$1,000 million.
“With data as of January 27, we estimate that the Treasury has already bought 482 million dollars of foreign currency titles, being one of the determinants of the poor performance of international reserves in the last 15 days,” said the clearing agent and Cohen settlement.
