Who should get a new payment credential?

The AFIP and the province of Buenos Aires enabled the system that allows you to cancel the monotax and gross income in a single payment. The unified monotax is a tool that simplifies the procedures that Buenos Aires residents carry out every month to comply with their obligations. It streamlines the payment of national and provincial obligations, and also reduces the administrative burden on the taxpayers of the province.

Enrollment in the unified monotax implies the modification of the Unique Magazine Code, which now has 12 digits. Therefore, the previous credential is no longer valid. This code, which is the one that appears on the Monotax payment credential, is used to make the payment of the monthly obligation of the Monotax through the Electronic Payment Flyer (VEP) or in payment institutions.

The unified monotax is a regime that allows taxpayers to comply simultaneously with the presentation and payment corresponding to:

  • national monotax.

  • provincial gross income tax.

  • the rate paid for the health and safety services of the municipalities of the participating provinces.

What are the benefits?

  • The monthly and annual tax return of gross income should not be submitted.

  • Withholdings will not be applied on bank accounts or on debit and credit cards.

  • A fixed monthly fee will be paid, according to the national monotax.

How to sign up?

People who are already registered as monotributistas and meet the requirements may adhere to the Simplified Regime of the Tax on Gross Income through the ARBA website web.arba.gov.ar/

The Citizens who are not yet registered must join the unified monotributo from www.monotributo.afip.gob.ar

Meanwhile, those who were already registered both in the monotax and in the Simplified Regime of the Tax on Gross Income, were officially registered in the unified monotax.
