The ruralista urged the producers to process emergency declarations in order to access the benefits. “We ask that the procedures be expedited and that the provisions arrive quickly at each of the branches in the case of Banco Nación and the agencies, in the case of AFIP,” he explained.
He also indicated that from the cooperatives help will be provided to the producers that they are not with the folders up to date. “We must help the producers who are often working on their farms to access this process of affidavits so that they can access these benefits,” she reiterated.
Laucirica stressed that during the meetings “officials were seen to be concerned but, more than all, ready to look for solutions”, and announced that they will work on announcements intended for the livestock and regional economies in the next meetings.
“Losses of US$12,000 million are estimated. They are very strong numbers,” warned the head of Coninagro about the impact of the drought.
Beyond the package of measures, Laucirica ratified that there are other claims that persist and that they are not part of the conjuncture. “We warn basic problems that we had been dragging from the sector and that can also be seen throughout society as a whole as the high tax burden, inflation, the exchange rate gap and the exchange rate delay“, he claimed.
In this sense, he stressed that “these themes remain“, but what “the severity of these inclement weather often makes them lose a little bit of attention”.
Laucirica also responded to a statement signed by the rural societies of various towns in the north of the province of Buenos Aires, which questions “the claps and smiles” of the leaders of the Liaison Table for the dialogue they established with the Government.
“We are sorry for the weariness that all the people have, but, faced with that weariness, we have to continue talking, dialoguing, seeking consensus and continue asking for State policies that give us security and are lasting over time“, he differed.
In this sense, he pointed out that “with aggressions” the representatives of the sector “cannot reach the officials”. “We really we try to have a fluid relationship and that does not mean that we do not defend with all our convictions the situation we are experiencing,” concluded the president of Coninagro.
