The German stock market started Tuesday with losses. In the first few minutes of trading, the leading index Dax fell by 0.24 percent to 15,308.92 points. The MDax for medium-sized stocks fell by 0.36 percent to 29,215.31 points. The Eurozone leading index EuroStoxx 50 lost 0.1 percent to 4201.08 points.

On Thursday, the Dax reached 15,520 points, its highest level in almost a year. Interest rate concerns fueled by Friday’s strong US job market report temporarily threw it back to 15,275 points at the beginning of the week. Technology stocks in particular continued to fall on the US stock exchanges, although not much happened after the end of European trading.
