According to the report, in the last four months the increase in diesel oil was practically unchanged after 10 consecutive monthly increases. Since August last year, it has accumulated an increase of 38% year-on-year, after having increased 45.5% in 2019 and 77% in 2018.
The rest of the items (Lubricants, Personnel, Patents, Tolls), with the exception of the Financial Cost (1.7%), did not undergo modifications in relation to last August.
FADEEAC pointed out that the increase in the cost of transportation “coexists with prospects for a progressive economic recovery taking into account the positive situation in the agricultural sector, the growth of the construction industry and the manufacturing industry, among the sectors that show the greatest dynamism.”
The study, carried out by the Department of Economic Studies of the FADEEAC, measures 11 items that directly impact the costs of freight transport companies and is a reference for setting or adjusting rates in the sector.
It should be remembered that the cost of transport reached a rise of 61.5% in 2018 and a year later it stood at 19.5%.
