The specialized areas of the General Tax Directorate (DGI) had detected the existence of an organization that created shell companies and used insolvent individuals to generate apocryphal electronic invoicing powerhouses.

In this way, the users of these false vouchers could illegally reduce their tax obligations, which had a negative impact on the genuine resources obtained through tax collection.

The AFIP agents engaged in the investigation of this criminal gang verified that the organization had issued false receipts for $2,308 million in a short period of time.

However, With the passage of time and the continuity of the fraudulent operations, the simulated sales through this channel totaled $4.8 billion.

Evasion

In this sense, the DGI estimated that the total tax damage caused by these maneuvers amounts to $2.5 billion.

The operations ordered by the federal courts consisted of 30 raids in the cities of Mar del Plata, Córdoba and Buenos Aires, in which members of the federal forces participated. As a result of the operations, six people were arrested.
