Last week there was talk of “network problems”. Today, Thursday, however, the TroGroup admitted to having been the victim of a cyber attack. “A large part of the central IT services was temporarily unavailable at numerous locations around the world,” said the Wels-based family company.
The incident happened two weeks ago. Due to the immediate activation of an emergency operation, the ongoing operation was continuously ensured, it is said. After the shutdown of the system landscape and detailed forensic system analysis, the “controlled reconstruction” takes place, it is reported. Within a week, the switch was made from emergency to normal operation.
“In order not to endanger the investigations of the law enforcement authorities, we cannot provide any further information on the course of events,” says Ute Kliemstein, spokeswoman for the TroGroup. The group manufactures stamps under the Trodat brand and is active in the laser sector under the Trotec brand.
