Central Bank reserves ended above US $ 43,000 million for the first time in 9 days

In the last four days, the Central was able to buy almost US $ 400 million to sustain the price of the wholesale dollar in the planned range. Since September 28, the reserves did not end above US $ 43,000 million. It should be remembered that last month the coffers of the monetary authority lost US $ 3,269 million mainly due to the payment of almost US $ 1,900 million to the IMF for the debt contracted in the macrismo and official sales for US $ 950 million in the wholesale exchange market.

In the ninth month of the year, there was a strong demand for imports of capital goods and supplies, vaccines and energy within the framework of a local production affected by climate issues, to which was added a decrease in the income of dollars per exports for seasonal reasons.

For October, the selling trend was expected to continue pending the benefits of the fine harvest in December, something that has been reversed for now.
