The agency also indicated that in the first sanctioning instance, Edesur “must pay compensation to the users affected by supply cuts whose duration has been equal to or greater than 10 hours, as established by current regulations for this type of affectation, and without prejudice of the sanctions that are under development”.
The amounts must be credited by the company in the service invoices of the users within 20 administrative business days., from the publication of the resolution. “These sanctions corresponding to the effects on the electricity service during the month of February are added to the more than $3,772 million pesos applied to the distributor Edesur since September 2022,” the ENRE said in a statement.
New audit to the company
On the other hand, with another resolution, 237/2023, the ENRE ordered the realization of a comprehensive technical audit in Edesur with the objective of determining the capacity and reliability of the public service electricity distribution and oversee the quality of service established in the concession contract.
