Social Chain takes over Ralf Dümmel’s company: merger in “Die Höhle der Löwen”

Ralf Dümmel has also increased sales at DS Produkte by investing in the Vox program “Die Höhle der Löwen”. Social Chain AG is now taking over the Stapelfelder company. The main shareholder: Georg Kofler.

Mega merger on the edge of the Löwenhöhle: Social Chain AG takes over 100 percent of the DS Group. This means that two companies from the DHDL empire are merging, the contracts are being signed today. The managing partner of DS Produkte, Ralf Dümmel, and the main shareholder of Social Chain, Georg Kofler, know each other from the joint filming of the Vox program “Die Höhle der Löwen”. Now they are aiming for a billion-dollar company with the merged company from 2023.

Social Chain expects sales of 620 million euros in the current financial year and is therefore raising its forecast. The DS Group puts the forecast at 270 million euros. The merger of the companies is expected to generate a synergy effect on an EBITDA basis of up to 50 million euros. And: before the end of this year, the Social Chain share is to be listed in the Prime Standard of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. So far Georg Kofler is the main shareholder.

Ralf Dümmel becomes board member

Ralf Dümmel will be promoted to the board of the Social Chain. The goal of the acquisition: growth in Europe and the USA. The DS Group’s brand portfolio is predestined for direct marketing. This is where the social chain acts: the company relies fully on influencer and social marketing aside from traditional advertising formats. “For DS Produkte, the deal is a bridge to the future,” says Ralf Dümmel about the takeover. “We will show how a perfect interaction between retail and social commerce can be achieved.”

Fans of the TV format, on the other hand, can have no worries: The popular lion remains loyal to the show. The episodes for the episodes that will run in the spring have already been shot, the negotiations for the upcoming season in autumn 2022 are ongoing. During his time as a juror for “DHDL”, “Mr. Regal” invested in 122 deals and the company brought around 300 products onto the market.
