The mineral exports during February totaled US$294 millionwhich meant a YoY increase in values of 7% compared to the same month of 2022, according to the report released this Tuesday by the Mining Secretariat.
In this way, the accumulated during the first two months of 2023 totaled US$674 millionwhich represented an increase in 30% YoY. This partial result so far this year allowed us to reach the highest level since 2015 for the first two months, when they had posted US$692 million.

In addition to representing a YoY increase in values of 7% for February already a YoY increase of the 30% for the accumulated of the year, the sales of the first bimester there is a 19% above the 2010-2022 average in these months.
Given these amounts, the exports of mining products they meant the 6% of the Argentine total exports in February 2023 and the 7% in the cumulative of the bimester.

In the case of lithiumin February a total of US$58 millionwhich involved a YoY growth in the amounts exported from 85%marking the historical export record for the second month of the year. And, during the first two months, the sales of this mineral reached US$140 milliongrowing a 166% yoy
As for the exported quantities of lithiumin the accumulated so far this year, exhibited a rise in 31%. Also, in the first two months, the metalliferous minerals added exports by US$512 millionwhich implied an interannual increase of the 14%.

Regarding the analysis of the performance by provincesin Santa Cruzthe mining exports during February they reached US$123 millionincreasing by a 23.8% compared to February 2022. In the accumulated of the year, the mining sales of the province added US$280 millionwhich meant an interannual growth of 20.7% compared to the same period of 2022.
In the provinces of Catamarca, Jujuy and Saltawhich make up the NOTexports totaled US$106 millionwith a year-on-year growth of 46.4%. And, in the accumulated first two months of 2023, they added US$235 millionwhich implied for the provinces an interannual growth of 62.5% compared to the same period of 2022.
