The first meeting of the Hydrogen Intersectoral Table was held

Headed by the Secretariat for Strategic Affairs, it will seek to advance a strategy that establishes the guidelines for the industrialization of the resource.

“The energy transition should ensure the creation of employment with full rights”, affirmed the Secretary of Strategic Affairs, Mercedes Marco del Pontduring the first meeting of the Hydrogen Intersectoral Table.

“The articulation with the different actors will allow us to promote the development of industrial, technological capacities and our workforce to achieve insertion in the hydrogen value chain,” said the official during the meeting held in the Original Peoples Hall of the Casa Rosada together with more than 50 representatives of the public and private sectors.

The call made it possible to advance in the construction of the necessary consensus for the design of the National Strategy for the Development of the Hydrogen Economy and counted with the participation of the Secretary of Energy, Flavia Royonand the Secretary of Climate Change, Cecilia Nicolini.

“Hydrogen is taking its first steps in the world and Argentina has enormous potential to be a supplier of hydrogen, develop the local industry and generate technology transfer”expressed Royón during the opening of the meeting.

For his part, Nicolini maintained that “The Strategic Environmental Assessment carried out by the country, a discussion that is at the forefront at the international level, reaffirms the commitment to sustainable and sovereign development, with all the people inside.”

The Hydrogen Intersectoral Table is a space articulated and coordinated by the Secretariat for Strategic Affairs to develop a comprehensive strategy to promote the low-emission hydrogen economy.

This first meeting was attended by officials from the Cabinet Headquartersthe Chancellery and the Economy ministries; Atmosphere; Transport; Science, Technology and Innovation; Job. Representatives of Y-TEC, Adimra and the H2AR Consortium which brings together more than 50 companies that operate in the hydrogen value chain.

“Argentina will promote the location of investments for the development of the different technologies necessary for the production of low-emission hydrogen and also generate the appropriate certification systems that allow us to participate in international markets”argued Marcó del Pont.
