The BRICS group bank elected Dilma Rousseff as president until 2025

The board of governors of the New Development Bank unanimously appointed the former Brazilian president.

Rousseff, who was Brazil’s president from 2011 until she was ousted in 2016 during a harsh recession, will replace Marcos Troyjo and complete Brazil’s term as the entity’s rotating presidency until July 6, 2025.

The group is composed of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa.
