A change is only out of the question for 28 percent. The rest is undecided. This is the result of a lightning survey by the Linz personnel consultant Schulmeister.
The shortage of skilled workers continues to worsen, the list of shortage occupations is getting longer: “More and more companies are contacting us because they can no longer fill vacancies with advertisements,” says co-managing director Ulrike Steiner. The reason is the lack of “baby boomers”, changed values and the aftermath of the corona virus.
The commitment of candidates has dropped significantly, salary expectations are screwed up from one interview to the next. Work content and development opportunities would also be carefully scrutinized. According to Schulmeister, who recently opened an office in Salzburg, employers should create suitable working conditions and offer home office and benefits such as the climate ticket. This requires appreciation, the opportunity to have a say and seriousness when it comes to sustainability and climate protection.
