The head of the Verdi union, Frank Werneke, said a comprehensive industrial dispute was possible. She negotiates for 2.5 million employees in local transport and at airports. “There hasn’t been a strike like this for 31 years,” said Werneke. Negotiations continue from Monday to Wednesday.

Flights were already canceled on Sunday, for example in Munich. Today the train connections from Austria to Germany are affected. The railway and transport union EVG ruled out further warning strikes during the upcoming Easter holidays.
