As stated, “four companies appealed to inaccurate statements to circumvent current prohibitions, aimed at ensuring the supply of the local market” and therefore “a complaint has already been filed and there are three in preparation”.
In turn, the body led by william michel “initiated a contentious proceeding against another firm that, between January 2021 and December 2022, under-invoiced 69 exports by more than 30% to settle less currency of those that corresponded to him”.
Now the Customs could apply fines of US$2.49 million to the refrigerators in question; Additionally, it has raised more than $1 million in terms of rectifications for claims filed with companies in the sector.
