The prices of the main products consumed during Easter increased by 99% year-on-year in Neuquén, according to a survey by the Association of Commerce, Industry and Production of Neuquén (Acipan).

The survey of the economic observatory was carried out during the last week of March 2023, and took into account the main products of the Easter basket, the association reported through a statement.

The Easter basket selected for the survey consists of Easter egg, Easter bagel, natural tuna and pink salmon.

In the city of Neuquén, the Easter egg suffered an increase of 117%; the Easter bagel, 65%; natural tuna (top brand), 248%; while the increase in pink salmon was 93%.

“The cost of the Easter Basket has increased by 99% between this year and 2022, an increase that is in line with the variation in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) of the last twelve months, surveyed by INDEC,” they said. in the report.

They specified that “last year, the increase in the surveyed basket had been greater, with a variation of 126% compared to 2021.”

“The objective of the survey of the cost of the selected Easter basket is to be able to evaluate the evolution of the main products that are usually consumed on this festivity,” concluded Acipan.
