“When the public sector and the productive sector work together, Argentina grows. Thanks to the regional economies and the governors for their support and trust,” said the minister through his account on the social network Twitter.
The relaunch of the PIE, which will be launched next Monday, will have a differential exchange rate of $300 per dollar for exports from the soybean complex and from the different regional economies.
The head of the Palacio de Hacienda spoke in this way after the main business chambers that represent regional economies came out to express their support for the announcement made the day before, to which the governors of productive provinces also joined.
The provincial leaders thus offered their accompaniment to the implementation of a differential dollar at $300 to promote exports from the soybean complex and from various regional economies, announced yesterday by Massa.
In addition to highlighting the benefits for the economies of their respective jurisdictions, the rulers focused on sustaining employment, the possibility of opening new markets and improving competitiveness that the initiative generates.
In this line, the highest authorities of Santa Fe, Entre Ríos, Tucumán, Río Negro, Chubut, Chaco, Catamarca and Misiones manifested themselves.
Yesterday, The Government announced a new edition of the Export Increase Program (known as PIE and also informally renamed as “agro dollar”) that will reach the soybean complex and different regional economies offering them an exchange rate of $300 for each dollar exported.
In the case of soybeans, the differential exchange rate will be in force between April 10 and May 31, while the benefit for the regional economies included in the measure will be extended until August 30.
