Banco Nación launched a new credit line for the popular economy

The new loans from Banco Nación will make it possible to develop and deepen the work projects of family farming organizations, cooperatives and associations of small producers. During a meeting within the framework of the “Consultative Council of the Social and Popular Economy” The loan initiative was presented to support projects and facilitate new financing options for these productive segments.

“We take on the challenge of working and strengthening the financial inclusion policy, designing products and services suitable for the sector, and generating links with the producers of the popular economy, especially family farming”, summarized the president of the BNA, Eduardo Hecker.

“The financial system has to be at the service of all and, in particular, aimed at providing loans to small producers involved in the popular economy, with the purpose of recovering a productive, integrated Argentina and with a public bank operating alongside the sectors that need the most ”, he added.

While, Guillermo Willow, coordinator of the meeting and Director of the BNA, stated that “The BNA has taken a very important step of support and inclusion of family farming, by implementing a specific line for a sector that neoliberal policies had thrown into non-formal financing circuits that operate at high interest rates “He also remarked “The importance of this field production to collaborate in solving the food problems of the popular sectors”.

Inclusive monotax

Along the same lines, last Wednesday a bill was analyzed to promote the development of the popular economy through the creation of a monotax that includes workers in that sector, promotes credits for productive projects and gives them preference in the government purchases. This is a monotax reform project to facilitate social inclusion, promote job formalization and access to retirement and health coverage.

It contemplates that during the first 4 years from the registration of new taxpayers a significant reduction in the monthly obligations of the monotax (tax, retirement and health). What’s more, there will be a gradual transition for people who start an economic activity or have been developing it in the informal sector.
