The construction companies of the Néstor Kirchner Gas Pipeline deployed 1,000 teams to speed up the works and reach the scheduled inauguration date: the holiday June 20, Flag Day.

As revealed by the Sacde (Pampa)-Techint joint venture, the construction of lines 1 and 2 is progressing along the route of “simultaneously” and “as planned”with more than 1,000 teams working and a “great effort” of organization and logistics.

The companies remarked that this is a work that would normally be carried out in 24 months and that today it is being carried out with a target of 10 months.

The draft of the work indicates that by the end of March the special crossings of National Route 35 and Provincial Routes 18 and 9 were completed in La Pampa. He also stressed that the cleaning of the first sections is being carried out to give rise to hydraulic tests in both lines.

Last week Energía Argentina SA showed the arrival of the 15,000 HP turbocharger for the Tratayén compression plant, which will be installed at Kilometer zero of the route, located in Neuquén, allowing the gas pipeline’s transportation capacity to be increased.

At the end of February, the track opening phase for the entire gas pipeline route ended, while the transportation of pipes to their final location (parade) is advancing on schedule.

The automatic welding fronts are working above the expected productivity, advancing at an average of 4.5 km of welded pipes per day, with the planned times for completion.

The double-joint welding plants completed the first two stages and were transferred to their last location in La Pampa, where they are already operational.
