In an act held at the Palacio de Hacienda, Bauer highlighted that “The investments made by the government in the audiovisual sector reach 12,300 million pesosdespite the effort we had to make during the pandemic”.
The Minister of Culture proposed: “We invite everyone to present the projects because this will contribute to the strengthening of Argentine culture. This too is fundamentally sovereignty.”
The Economy Minister said that “for many when the State invests 140 million pesos in an audiovisual production they experience it as an expense, from the budget, without realizing that there is actually an investment“.
Massa remarked that “the fact that an international production company comes to Argentina because it is competitive and instead of having 800 employees, it has 1,000, that instead of 620 companies with 23,000 employees, we have 800 with 50,000 employees, depends on whether the State stimulates, invests or not”.
The head of the Palacio de Hacienda emphasized that “this It is neither more nor less than a State stimulus tool to promote a sector that generates dollars. I am convinced that our role in the audiovisual industry is key at a global level and especially at a regional level”.
Towards closing, Massa emphasized: “Argentinians are recognized for our talent, our creativity,, for our human capital, that is why we have so much eligibility in what are the technological industries. We have to propose as a challenge that these 720 million dollars that this sector exports per year multiply rapidly and that the investment made by the State is not only seen in more audiovisual content for more generation of Argentine work and we generate more dollars”.
“If Argentina changes its productive matrix, it has a futureIf Argentina does not change its matrix, in terms of the export balance, it will have recurring crises. We export at a value of $500 per ton and import at a value of $1,100 per ton. The productive shock for Argentina is selling Argentine work to the world and we all have to agree on that, no matter how we think, because that makes the future of Argentina,” he concluded.
