Investments in negotiable obligations in dollars and linked dollars grew 140% above the average of the last 12 months. Nominal annual rates of 74 and 77% are paid.
The placements of Negotiable Obligations (ON) during March exceeded $175,000 millionwhich explains a real growth of the 35% compared to February, as highlighted in a report by the international consulting firm PwC. The report indicates that investments in private instruments were an alternative to the bonds and bills offered by the State.

“The placements of ON in dollars and Dollar Linked were the stars of the monthreaching an increase of more thanl 140% above the average amount of the last 12 months”, notes the report. Companies from the energy sector stood out, with a participation of more than 85% of the total amount placed.


Regarding ON of the Guaranteed CNV SME Regime, an increase in volume of 22% was registered with respect to the previous month. “In the distribution by currency, the trend observed in recent months was reversed, since the emissions in pesos were imposed against the Linked Dollar by retaining 80% of the volume and 55% of the total amount placed”, says PwC.
On the other hand, Placements of Financial Trusts increased by more than 50% compared to the previous month, exceeding $25,000 million, with a prominent role of the “Dorrego y Libertador I” Financial Trust, that managed to place more than US$45 million at a 20-year term corresponding to a large-scale real estate project.
Other placements include:
- 8 ON of the General Regime in pesos for a total amount of $39,811 million at an average rate (TNA) of 73.8% and an average duration of 10.6 months.
- 1 ON of the General Regime in dollars for an amount of US$ 30 million at a rate (TNA) of 9.51% and a duration of 19 months.
- 12 ON of the General Regime in Dollar Linked for a total amount of US$ 645.7 million at an average rate (TNA) of 1.77% and an average duration of 42.9 months
- 9 BO of the CNV SME Regime Guaranteed in pesos for a total amount of $1,045 million at an average rate (TNA) of 76.8% and an average duration of 13.6 months.
