The Secretary of Energy confirmed that the first stage of the Néstor Kirchner Gas Pipeline will be operational as of June 20 and confirmed that in the coming weeks they will send the LNG law to Congress to attract investment.
The Secretary of Energy of the Nation, Flavia Royonassured that this year the energy balance will be “balanced” and estimated that by 2024 it will have a surplus of between US$8,000 and US$12,000 million.
“The energy balance this year will be balanced and next year it will give between 8,000 and 12,000 million dollars of positive balance”said the official in the IDEA Energía meeting that takes place in Neuquén.
In the panel moderated by Marcos Bulgheronigroup CEO of Pan American Energy (PAE), who also chairs the organizing committee of the conclave, royon confirmed that the first stage of the Néstor Kirchner pipeline will be operational as of June 20 and that they will shortly be bidding for the second section of the pipeline that will seek to bring gas from Vaca Muerta to Brazil.
Likewise, the official confirmed that in the coming weeks they will send the LNG law to Congress to attract investment and announced that after lithium “We want copper to arrive in the development of mining”, with several projects underway, particularly in the province of Catamarca and San Juan. Copper is a fundamental mineral for the energy transition. It is estimated that for every lithium component needed to make a battery for an electric vehicle, at least 10 copper components are required.
