The purchase and sale operations of estate in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires (CABA) registered a up from 21.7% in March compared to the same period last year, according to a report from the College of Buenos Aires Notaries.

In March, 2,874 deeds of sale were executedcompared to 2,361 in the same month of the previous year, and the amount involved was $67,242 millionwith a year-on-year rise of 65.4%, indicated the survey.

“We are closing the first trimester with just over 6,000 operations, representing a 21% recovery. This data, which although encouraging, contrasts with what a good year should be: at this point we should already be at around 15,000 deeds,” said the president of the College of Notaries, Jorge De Bártolo.
He said that “this margin of growth is in the incentives that must be generated for the sector, either through financing or tax incentives. That we register 111 mortgages tells us a lot about what we can still grow”.

In comparison with February, there was a 65.4% rise in the number of operationscompared to the 1,738 completed in that month.
In March, there were 111 formalized deeds with a bank mortgage, with a decrease in this segment of 0.9% compared to the same month last year; while in the quarter, the decrease is 19.5% (260 in total).
For the province of Buenos Aires, a total of 6,635 real estate sales were completed in the district, which represented a year-on-year increase of 2.17% since in the third month of 2022 6,494 deeds had been registered.
