The employees to whom the new collective agreement from 2009 applies receive 10 percent more. The service regulations and civil servants’ salaries as well as special contract salaries will be increased by 9.8 percent. The company management had agreed on this with the union of postal and telecommunications employees (GPF) after several rounds of negotiations, the post said.

According to the information, the percentage increase will only take effect from January 1, 2024. For the months of July to December 2023, however, every full-time employee will receive a monthly net payment of 300 euros as a tax-free cost-of-living bonus, as the company also announced on Wednesday. In total, 1,800 euros are paid out per employee in this way. Part-time employees receive a pro rata inflation payment.

Compensation for apprentices will also be increased by 10 percent

Compensation for apprentices will also be increased by 10 percent from January 1, 2024. In addition, for apprentices who are subject to the KV-new part 1, an adjustment of the apprentice compensation to the KV-new part 2 is agreed. This results in a percentage increase for apprentices who are subject to KV-neu Part 1 of between a good 22 and almost 35 percent. This year, starting in July, the apprentices will receive a monthly net payment of 100 euros, making a total of 600 euros by the end of the year.

Ancillary fees and allowances will also rise noticeably from the coming turn of the year with a plus of 9.8 percent. The shift allowance will increase by 15.2 percent from August 1, 2023.

According to Post, the increases mentioned apply subject to the approval of the supervisory board and the GPF national board until June 30, 2024.
