Together with the German chemical group BASF, old mattresses are put to a new use: BASF has developed a process to produce repolyol from old mattresses, which replaces fossil-based polyol. This was used by Neveon in the manufacture of mattress foam. The proportion of repolyol is 80 percent. According to Neveon, a “high number” was produced.
