In March 2023, the seasonally adjusted series index shows a positive variation of 3.5% compared to the previous month and the trend-cycle series index registers a positive variation of 0.3% compared to the previous month.

The data for the apparent consumption of inputs for construction in March 2023 show, in relation to the same month of the previous year, increases of 21.6% in granite and calcareous mosaics; 19.8% in finished concrete; 18.5% in the rest of the inputs (includes faucets, seamless steel tubes and glass for construction); 6.4% in portland cement; 2.7% in plasterboard and 2.4% in construction paints. Meanwhile, decreases of 25.8% are observed in ceramic sanitary ware; 15.3% in ceramic floors and coverings; 12.8% in hollow bricks; 9.7% in asphalt; 3.8% in limes; 3.1% in plaster and 0.3% in round iron and steel for construction.
On the other hand, if the variations of the accumulated during the first quarter of 2023 as a whole are analyzed in relation to the same period of the previous year, increases of 17.0% are observed in the rest of the inputs (includes faucets, pipes of seamless steel and glass for construction); 16.2% in finished concrete; 14.6% in granite and calcareous mosaics; 3.7% in portland cement; 2.9% in round iron and steel for construction and 2.1% in plasterboard. Meanwhile, decreases of 23.5% are observed in ceramic sanitary ware; 22.9% in ceramic floors and coverings; 15.0% in hollow bricks; 8.1% in limes; 3.6% in construction paints; 2.8% in plaster and 0.9% in asphalt.
