What is the most traded item?

during the month of April of 2023 1117 jobs were detected illegal street sale in the areas surveyed by the Argentine Chamber of Commerce and Services (CAC) in the city of Buenos Aires, according to the latest report prepared by the Observatory of Commerce and Services of the Entity. This represented an increase of 19.3% compared to April 2022, while, in relation to the previous measurement (March 2023), there was a decrease of 1.2%.

The ten most affected blocks contained 57.1% of the total stalls located on streets, avenues and pedestrians. Likewise, they represented 26.4% of the total number of blocks penalized for illegal sales.

1. Av Avellaneda had 5 of the 10 most hit blocks with a participation of 28.7% in the total.

2. Zone Eleven: participation of 28.4%. It should be noted that the most damaged block in the entire city was Av. Avellaneda at 2900, where 98 stalls were surveyed. Second place went to Bartolomé Miter at 2700, with 77 stands.

The most commercialized item was Clothing and footwear, which covered 78%, followed by Food and beverages with 10.5% of the total. The main illegal commercialization center for these categories was Zona Once, between the avenues and streets, and the Once de Septiembre station, between the stations and squares.

On the other hand, there was a 2.9% increase in piracy cases compared to March 2023, when a total of 969 cases were detected. Zone Eleven led counterfeit clothing and footwear and Optics, photography, watches and jewelry.

In the CAC report, Av. Avellaneda, Av. Rivadavia, Av. Pueyrredón, Zona Liniers, Zona Once, Av. Corrientes, Peru, Av. Santa Fe, Av. Córdoba, Av. Cabildo, Av. Juramento, Zona Microcentro, 9 de Julio, Av. de Mayo, Av. Callao and Lavalle. Likewise, the exhibition also contemplates the Once de Septiembre Station, Rivadavia Park, Retiro Station, Constitución Station, Plaza de Mayo, Lacroze Station and Belgrano C Station.

The survey was carried out between April 1 and 28, 2023 through an observation tour of the illegal trade posts installed on both sidewalks of the aforementioned avenues, streets, stations, terminals, and squares.
