A family from the City of Buenos Aires needed more than 8,000 in April to avoid being poor

  • In a situation of indigence: households whose total monthly income is not enough to cover the Basic Food Basket (CBA – Line of indigence). During April, those who received income less than $119,742.07 belonged to this interval.
  • In a situation of non-indigent poverty: households whose total monthly income is not enough to cover the Total Basic Basket (CBT – Poverty Line) but allows at least to acquire the CBA. In this situation are those who receive income between $119,742.08 and $208,568.75.
  • Vulnerable non-poor: households whose total monthly income is at least the CBT and does not reach the Total Basket (TC) of the Consumption Basket System. The range of families with income between $208,568.76 and $256,223.15.
  • Fragile middle sector: households whose total monthly income is at least the TC and does not reach 1.25 times the TC of the Consumption Basket System. Income between $256,223.16 and $320,278.94.
  • Middle sector “middle class”: households whose total monthly income is at least 1.25 times the TC and does not reach 4 times the TC of the Consumption Basket System. Receiving income ranging from $320,278.95 to $1,024,892.64.
  • Affluent sector: households whose monthly income is 4 times or more the TC of the Consumption Basket System. From $1,024,892.65 onwards.
