Due to the new measures announced by the Government, some points on credit card purchases were modified.
The government announced a series of economic measures to stimulate consumption, especially that of Credit cards. Because of this, they implemented a increase in consumption limits, conditioned on the credit history that clients have with the banks. This announcement focused on the 9 percentage point drop in the interest that consumers pay to use the now 12.
The increase will be 30% on purchase amounts in installments with credit, and 25% for a single installment. In this way, consumers will have greater possibilities of agreeing to buy goods with the Government’s installment plan. The program will be in effect until June 30th of 2023.

Now 12: items and fees
- Up to 6 installments: educational services such as language and computer courses plus sports courses and cultural activities; personal care services such as hairdressers and beauty salons. Category shows and cultural events.
- Up to 12 installments: glasses and lenses; spas; footwear and leather goods; aluminum pots, pans, pans, and griddles; clothing, musical instruments, technical services for electronics and tourism. Lighting fixtures, stationery, small appliances, perfumery, and the installation of alarms and the repair of automobiles and motorcycles. Funeral services.
