Dynatrace’s software, which was founded in Linz in 2005 and has been traded on the New York Stock Exchange since 2019, makes life easier for many Internet users. With the increasing help of artificial intelligence (AI), the software analyzes complex software systems such as online shops. “Dynatrace’s AI not only recognizes fully automatically whether a digital service is working incorrectly, but also warns of possible security risks and actively blocks cyber attacks,” says Dynatrace founder and head of technology Bernd Greifeneder, who still has his office in the research center in Linz has.

“Not only to defend this technological lead, but to expand it even further” is the task of the software developers, who mainly work in Austria, but also in Estonia, Spain and Poland. The further development of the AI is being pushed ahead significantly in the research locations in Austria and Europe. Without AI, errors and security problems in computer programs could hardly be reliably tracked down. According to a spokesman, cloud software in particular must be “bulletproof”.
In Upper Austria, there are 670 employees (600 at the twenty-fifth tower in the Linz harbor district, 70 in Hagenberg), in Austria (Graz, Vienna, Innsbruck) a further 430. Worldwide, the number of employees has increased by several hundred people to 4200 within a year. Global corporations are on the list of customers such as Abercrombie & Fitch, Asics, SAP and TUI.

Dynatrace sales rose 29 percent to 1.08 billion euros ($1.16 billion) in the 2022/23 fiscal year (ending March 31), the company announced on Wednesday. Net income increased from $52.4 to $107 million. The share price has been moving upwards again since last autumn. A Dynatrace share in New York currently costs just under 49 US dollars. Almost 67 percent are in free float.

The company continues to grow dynamically and is looking for staff in all areas of the company. Austria continues to play an important role in this. “The fact that Dynatrace relies primarily on innovative strength made in Austria in research and development underlines that cutting-edge technology is also developed in Austria,” says Greifeneder.
