The change in society is also reflected in a noticeably increased willingness to change jobs. Globalization and technological developments contribute to the fact that new professional fields are constantly emerging. The Wifi of the Upper Austrian Chamber of Commerce also takes these developments into account with its offer: 10,000 courses, training courses and seminars from all areas of knowledge are on offer, from Slovak language courses to payroll accounting to preparation for the final apprenticeship exam. “300 courses are new this year,” said Doris Hummer, President of the Upper Austrian Chamber of Commerce: Today, Wednesday, she presented the course book for 2023/24 with institute director Harald Wolfslehner and Wifi curator Georg Spiegelfeld. The motto: “Stay curious.”
One focus will be on the areas of digitization and energy transition: This year, for the first time, participants can learn how to use artificial intelligence in their everyday work. “Technology and IT are also in focus,” said Wolfslehner. According to Spiegelfeld, the economy must create the accompanying conditions for the green turn: For example, a solar deck was built for practical photovoltaic training.
Become a digital accountant
7000 people used the Wifi to prepare for their final apprenticeship exam. More than 2800 trainers are freelancers. The educational institution was also able to score with a range of online and hybrid courses: 8,400 people took part. For example, 800 people completed their accountant training completely digitally last year.
