On Thursday and Friday, the Dax – boosted by the settlement of the US debt dispute – recovered by a total of around two and a half percent and finally managed to clearly jump over the much-noticed 16,000 point mark. The Dax had previously dropped to its lowest level since mid-April at 15,629 points. The focus is now again on the small course gap at 16,143 points and the record high at 16,331 points.

According to a critical study by the bank JPMorgan, Zalando shares came under pressure with minus 0.8 percent. Deutsche Telekom stocks recovered at the top of the Dax by 3.2 percent from their nine percent drop on Friday. News about possible competition from Amazon in the USA had weighed heavily on the T-share and the papers of the US mobile communications subsidiary of the Bonn company, T-Mobile US.

Henkel shares, on the other hand, hardly reacted to price increases announced by the consumer goods manufacturer. Despite the delay in expanding its own mobile network, the telecommunications provider 1&1 wants to meet the long-term requirements of the Federal Network Agency, as 1&1 boss and United Internet main shareholder Ralph Dommermuth told the “Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung”. The shares of 1&1 increased by 1.2 percent, those of the parent company United Internet rose by 2.0 percent.
