Domestic workers who are registered will receive the first half of the 2023 Christmas bonus. Find out how the amount is calculated.

During the course of Junethe domestic workers must collect their May salaries with an increase of 7% with respect to the previous month and this increase will be added to the first installment of the Complementary Annual Salary (SAC)better known as bonus.

According to Law employment contractthe Christmas bonus is credited based on half of the better salary paid in the period January to June. It is divided into two payments: the First half is charged in the last working week of june and the secondbetween December 19 and 23.

Domestic employees: How is the Christmas bonus calculated?

The formula for calculate the bonus is to divide by 12 the best salary received and multiply it by the number of months worked. When the person did not serve during the entire semester, the Christmas bonus is calculated on the half of the best salaryand that amount is multiplied by the months or days worked during those six months.

If during the semester covered, the domestic employee did not work every month (whether because you started working recently or because the contract was terminated), you are responsible for the liquidation of a proportional for the months consigned.
