Days ago, before returning to Argentina from China, Massa said that between June 12 and 14, the vice president of the Central Bank, Lisandro Cleri, will travel to Washington; the Secretary for Economic Policy, Gabriel Rubinstein; and the director of INDEC, Marco Lavagna, to address the “last mile discussion” with the IMF.

At the Palacio de Hacienda, they do not even rule out the possibility of making an advance payment, as a sign of goodwill with a view to advancing the negotiations.

“There are days when the negotiations advance, and others in which the situation is more tense, but it is like any negotiation,” sources from the Palacio de Hacienda said.
