The Ministry of Economy declared the state of emergency or agricultural disaster in the provinces of Jujuy, Neuquén and Salta. The measure was carried out through three resolutions published this Thursday June 8 in the Official bulletin.
The resolution 755/2023 declared a state of emergency or disaster in Jujuy from the May 3 last until May 11, 2024 and applies for sugarcane farms affected by drought in the departments of El Carmen, Palpalá, San Pedro, Ledesma, San Antonio and Santa Bárbara.
On the other hand, the resolution 756/2023 decreed a state of emergency in jump from last April 15 to April 14, 2024 and applies to citrus farms also affected by the conditions adverse weather conditions in the departments of Anta, General Güemes, General San Martín, Iruya, Metán, Orán and Santa Victoria.
Likewise, a state of emergency was declared from last March 29 to March 31, 2024. for sugarcane farms affected by drought in the departments of General Güemes and Orán. In addition, it was established that April 14 and March 31, 2024 are the end dates of the production cycles for the farms affected in these areas.
Meanwhile, Resolution 757/2023 declared the state of emergency in Neuquen from last March 1 to the same day in 2024. This measure applies to poultry farms affected by Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (IAAP) in the departments of Añelo, Confluencia, Chos Malal, Picún Leufú, Zapala and Picunches. It was also established that on March 1, 2024 is the end date of the production cycle for affected farms in these areas.
How to access to the benefits?
In order to access the benefits, the affected producers in the three places mentioned above must present a certificate issued by the competent authority of the provincewhich demonstrates that their properties or farms meet the established criteria.
In turn, the provincial government of each one must send to the National Commission for Agricultural Emergencies and Disasters a list of affected producers, along with a copy of the emergency certificate issued by the competent provincial authority.
National, official or mixed banking institutions, as well as the Federal Administration of Public Revenues (AFIP), will take the necessary measures to ensure that producers can access the benefits planned, as communicated in the Official Gazette.
