The data comes from the third installment of the monthly report “SME Trade Perspective” by Mercado Pago/Invecqcarried out based on a survey of more than 1,320 SME businesses that operate with the Mercado Pago digital account throughout the country.

“SME businesses rely on technology to offer more options to their customers, increase their sales and facilitate the management of their businesses. Our purpose is to accompany more and more businesses throughout the country, solving their needs in an easier and faster way.he added Agustín Viola, Senior Director of SMEs at Mercado Pago.
Besides, more than half of SMEs have expectations that their sales for Father’s Day will increase in line with or above annual inflation growth. In this context, the commercial strategies towards clients will be largely defined on the date: 4 out of 10 have not yet decided whether to offer discounts and/or promotions.
“The context of high inflation has an impact on the profitability of businesses and generates greater uncertainty; This explains why most of them wait until the last moment to establish their commercial policy, in terms of 2×1 promotions, prize draws and discounts for payments with QR, among other resources”, he analyzed. Santiago Bulat, Director of Invecq.
To face the current inflationary context, the report also reflects that almost four out of 10 of the businesses announced that they will offer financing options for their customersmainly in up to 3 installments (57.5% of the cases) and 6 installments (21%).
