In this way, the interannual variation was located at 70.3% compared to 114.2% that the Consumer Price Index (CPI) showed for the same period.
Due to cuts, the main increases in average prices during May occurred in Ossobuco, with a rise of 6.6% compared to April; followed by common bait (5.1%) and shoulder (4.7%). The lowest increases, for their part, corresponded to common mince (0.5%), square (0.3%) and loin ball (0.1%)
Chicken meat, for its part, registered a drop of 1.6% compared to the average price of April and a very significant slowdown compared to the 26.9% of last April.
Beyond this reduction in its price, chicken meat is the one that reached the highest year-on-year increase, totaling an advance of 132.8%.
For its part, the value of the pork breast rose 5.9% in May compared to April and 90.2% in the interannual comparison.
Regarding the different categories, steer meat showed an increase in its prices of 1.8%, steer 3.3%, heifer and veal 1.7%.
Compared to the pork brisket, the roast showed a relative price -6% lower than that registered a year ago, and the purchasing power of beef was modified from 1.51 to 1.42 kilograms of pork in the same time frame.
