An Eco-Brief S costs 95 cents instead of 81, an increase of 17 percent. For the Prio-Brief S, the costs increase by 20 percent from 1.00 to 1.20 euros. The eco business letter costs 92 instead of 78 cents (plus 17 percent).
Post CEO Georg Pölzl said that the tariffs take into account the higher energy and transport costs. But customer needs are also taken into account: in the future, eco-letters can be posted in postboxes with postage paid. You pay less for these, the delivery time is up to three days. Priority letters would be delivered the next day.
The mailboxes would continue to be emptied once a day from Monday to Friday.
