More than 30 wineries from the entire Province of Buenos Aires participated in the Malvinas Argentinas match of the 6th Meeting of Buenos Aires Wine Producers with the objective of promoting a round of business between businesses in the region and provincial producers.
The interim mayor Noe Correa participated in the meeting; the Provincial Minister of Infrastructure and Public Services, Leonardo Nardini; and the first vice president of the Buenos Aires Senate, Luis Vivona, who presented his book “Vino Buenos Aires”, within the law 15,404 that promotes the work of wine producers in the province.
The community chief thanked that the district had been chosen “for the second time to hold this great event and get closer and closer to all sectors.”
For his part, Nardini considered it important to “strengthen the regional and Buenos Aires tourism circuit; wineries have enormous potential and the fact that they can come to Malvinas to interact with the merchants of our district generates synergy and opportunities for the productive sector of the province” .
In addition, Vivona explained that “the objective is to be able to value the work of the producers and continue deepening the work of this industry, which will bring more work for our people.”
The objective of the meeting is to promote the connection between wineries, the public of the region and local commerce.
In addition, a contest was held where the best four wines were chosen, which were a Pinot Noir from Gamboa de Campana, a Malbec from Sante Vins from Punta Alta, a Malbec from the Myl Colores winery from Coronel Pringles and a Malbec from Ventania de Saldungaray.
The tasting panel was made up of eight students from the Argentine School of Somnelier and four from the School of the Malvinas Argentinas Study Center, which has been operating since 2018.
“This is a unique event that allows us to discover very interesting proposals, in a beautiful place, with an impeccable organization; the province has very attractive and professional proposals,” said sommelier Nancy Jelaber.
Vilma, representative of the Myl Colores de Coronel Pringles winery, one of the winning wines of the night, assured: “There is great potential throughout the province, excellent wines and we are at a truly professional level.”
And Rubén Porto, professor at the Sommelier School of the Malvinas Argentinas Municipal Study Center, added: “Wines from the Province of Buenos Aires are promising and have more than important potential.”
In turn, Valentín Cámpora, from Cámpora Wines of San Nicolás, added: “We hope this helps a lot of people and the business continues to grow; before we were anonymous, this helps us push ourselves, to return to our roots.”
And Eduardo Tuite from Bodega Gamboa de Campana, highlighted the “impulse” that the meeting gives the entire Province “so that our work continues to grow.”
