Pampa Energía completed the commercial qualification of its fifth wind farm

The Pampa Energía IV Wind Farm required an investment of more than US$128 million. The project has an installed capacity of 81MW, equivalent to the consumption of 100,000 homes.

The company Pampa Energy announced this Saturday that it completed the commercial authorization of the Pampa Energía IV Wind Farmlocated in the town of Coronel Rosales, Buenos Aires province. The project has an installed power of 81MW, equivalent to the consumption of 100,000 households.

The Pampa Energía IV Wind Farm has 18 wind turbines, and required an investment of more than US$128 million. The energy generated by this park will be sold in the Market at Electric Power Term from Renewable Sources (MaTER) intended for the segment of large users.

Since 2018, Pampa has developed and acquired wind farms for a total of 387 MW and in a short time it will reach 527 MW of installed power, and in this way, the investments made in the renewable sector add up to more than US$1,000 million.

Currently the company is one of the largest generators of electricity in the countrywith a total power of 5,432 MW, through nine thermal power plants, three hydroelectric power plants and five wind farms, plus one under construction.

The CEO of the company, Gustavo Mariani, He stated that “this park is a sign of Pampa’s commitment so that Argentina can meet the objectives set by Law 27,191, which establishes that by 2025, 20% of the energy matrix must come from renewable sources.” In this sense, the director added: “We are also advancing in the construction of stages 1 and 2 of our sixth wind farmwith an installed capacity of 95 MW and 45MW respectively, and an investment of approximately 265 million dollars”.
