Within the framework of the International Day of SMEs, the news portal Somos Pymes will hold the National SME Congress with the aim of rethinking the reality of the companies that make up the productive engine of the country. The fourth edition of this meeting will take place on June 27, and will be attended by the main players in the sector, the most renowned political and economic journalists, networking rounds, workshops and seminars.
“We know that SME entrepreneurs make up almost 70% of the National GDP and are the largest sources of employment in our country, which is why it is important to start working and train ourselves to strengthen our companies and begin to rethink the future together”, highlighted the CEO of Somos Pymes and organizer of the event, Chris Dátola.
The congress will have the presence of renowned speakers such as Damián Di Pace, Maximiliano Montenegro, Claudio Zuchovicki, among others, who will help to understand the economic situation of the country and will collaborate in making strategic decisions for the future.

“Beyond the inflationary context, the macroeconomics that has not yet been ordered and the doubling of the dollar, today businessmen are concerned about 4 fundamental issues for the growth of their companies: Access to financing, talent management, new technologies and the tax burden. Data on the SME ecosystem
According to data provided by the Secretariat of Production of the Nation, until the first quarter of 2022, the Argentine business cake was made up of 1,600,000 companies, of which 75% are MiPymes, that is, mostly monotributistas or self-employed. which, depending on the sector to which they belong, have an average of 5 to 10 employees. While 22% of the companies of that total are small and medium-sized. In other words, more consolidated companies, with a greater number of employees and, of course, with another vision, another flight, another way of seeing the business world. And finally, only 3% of companies in Argentina are large companies.
With the sole objective of providing data on the SME world, it is worth noting that in Argentina, almost half of the companies are service companies, such as design, communication and digital marketing, the knowledge industry, programming, among others.
Likewise, a quarter of all SMEs belong to the commerce sector (397,847) and the remaining percentage is divided among the following sectors: industry (213,160), agricultural sector (145,182), construction (69,342), and mining (1,513). .
