Collection in June grew 109.2% annually, but was once again below inflation

“The collection with the greatest drop would have been that of Fuels, which would have done so at 34.9% real year-on-year, followed by gains with 19.4% and export duties with 13%. It is important to remember that the income from the last PIE was allowed to be paid in installments of the tribute. The taxes that increased the most would be Personal Property with 14%, followed by internal taxes with 13.1% and VAT with 12.4%. The agricultural dollar had a positive effect and the tax compensations in the payment of profits had a negative effect,” he explained.

The collection of the Value Added Tax (VAT) during the past month grew by 147% compared to the same month of 2022 as a consequence of “tax administration measures implemented by the AFIP as well as the effect of economic activity that remains at relatively high levels,” reported AFIP.

Both the DGI VAT and the customs VAT registered increases of 164.9% and 128.6%, respectively. Among the tax administration measures adopted, the following stand out: fiscal monitoring through systemic, permanent and instantaneous control of affidavits; optimization in the perception regime of digital platforms; and modifications in the facilities plans of large taxpayers.

“These tax administration measures resulted in the good performance of both DGI VAT and had an impact on the evolution of Co-participated Internal Taxes, which increased by 145.8%,” detailed FIP.

In turn, in Customs VAT The AFIP’s decision to suspend non-withholding certificates for certain importers led to an improvement of 128.6%. In addition, it also boosted the collection of DGA Profits, which grew by 106.8%.

In Personal Property, a tax that provides greater progressivity to the system, growth was 147.8% compared to June of last year. Despite the effects of the historical drought that the country faced, Export rights recorded the best month so far this year in June with an improvement of 89.1% as a result of the income generated by the Export Increase Program (PIE). Although the PIE for the oilseed complex ended at the end of May, in this edition of the program payment of rights was allowed in installments.

Above the monthly average of the collection of June, which grew by 109.2% with revenues of $3.52 trillion, were Personal Property 147.8%, VAT 147%, Internal Coparticipation 145.8%, Country Tax 122% , Other partners 121.4% and Social Security resources 113.9%.

In the accumulated first half of the year, tax collection amounted to $15.98 trillion, an improvement of 95.9% compared to the same period in 2022. The taxes that grew above the collection as a whole were Reimbursements 177.6%, Personal Assets 131.8%, VAT 124.6%, Domestic Partners 119.8%, Other Partners 117.5%, Credits and Debits in Account . Cte. 111.5% and Social Security resources 110.8%.
