Fine wheat campaign already has more than 6 million hectares planted

The Secretary of Agriculture, Juan Bahillohighlighted this Tuesday that in the fine campaign there are already “more than six million hectares” plantedand estimated that the harvest is “between 18 and 19 million tons of wheat”.

Bahillo stressed “the improvement in the expectations of the producers for this fine campaign, in which more than six million hectares have been planted”when meeting with the president of the Federation of Grain Collectors Trade Centers and Entities, fernando rivaraand other presidents of Collection Centers.

During the meeting, dedicated to analyzing the agricultural prospects for 2023/24 after the impact of the drought on production, Bahillo stated that it is estimated “a harvest that will be around between 18 and 19 million tons of wheat”reported the Ministry of Agriculture through a statement.

The meeting was attended by the head of the Agriculture Cabinet, Juan Fernandez Arocenaand the Undersecretary of Agricultural Markets, Luciano Zarich; Daniel Asseffof the Federation of Collectors, and the directors of this entity Raul Dente and Alejandro Carelli.
