The Federal Administration of Public Revenues (AFIP), through the General Tax Directorate (DGI), recovered $49,700,000 in concept of Tax for an Inclusive and Solidarity Argentina (PAIS), after detecting inconsistencies in tourism agencies in the province of Córdoba in their role as agents of perception.

Inspectors of the body led by Carlos Castagneto carried out control actions on taxpayers dedicated to hiring tourist packages abroad and discovered that the perceptions corresponding to the tax for the sale of services did not enter.


As a result, an adjustment of $49,700,000 was determined, which was made by the inspected taxpayers presenting the respective rectifying affidavits.
The PAIS Tax is an emergency tax established in February 2020 through Law No. 27,541 on Social Solidarity and Productive Reactivation within the framework of the Public Emergency. The proceeds are distributed as follows: 70% to finance programs run by ANSES and PAMI and 30% to finance social housing works, the Socio-Urban Integration Fund trust, PAMI benefits, economic infrastructure works and promotion of national tourism .
It should be noted that 30% is applied to the total amount of each operation achieved. In the case of the acquisition of passenger transport services to destinations outside the country by land, air or water, on the net price of each operation reached. Does not apply when the destination is a neighboring country by land. For digital services, the rate is 8%.
